Move Notification area to the other monitor

As technology advances, computer users are starting to use two monitors on their computer. Windows 8 has many neat features but when it comes to the notification area, you can only have the notification area on one of the two monitors. However it will only show up on the primary monitor. You can move it to the other monitor but it will take a few steps

To move the notification area to the other monitor, follow these steps

  1. Right-click the taskbar

   
  1. If the taskbar is locked, click to unlock it

    1. Locked

   
  1. Unlocked

   
  1. Right-click Taskbar

   
  1. Click Properties

   
  1. Uncheck Show taskbar on all displays

    1. Checked

   
  1. Unchecked

   
  1. Click OK (The taskbar will disappear on one of the monitors)

   
  1. Drag the Taskbar to the other Monitor

  2. Right-click the Taskbar

   
  1. Click Properties

   
  1. Put a check on Show taskbar on all displays

    1. Checked

   
  1. Unchecked

   
  1. Click OK

   
  1. Right-click Taskbar

   
  1. Put a check on Lock All taskbars

    1. Locked

   
  1. Unlocked
