PCMCIA card install

  PCMCIA.jpg

To install a PCMCIA card, follow these instructions NOTE: Some cards and systems may have a different layout but the following should apply to most if not all PCMCIA cards

  1. Make sure the system is turned off
  2. Open the panel labeled PCMCIA (may not be labeled. check the manual for the location)
  3. Insert the card into the slot.
  4. The edge of the card with the roll of connection holes must go in first.
  5. Check the car's markings to determine which side should face up. If the card doesn't have any markings, slide the card in with label side up
  6. Do not force the card into the slot. If it doesn't go in easily, then you have not inserted it correctly. The card is fully inserted if the Eject button pops out.
  7. Turn the system on.
  8. The system may require the driver. If that is the case, use the CD that came with it or download it from the manufacturer.

Note: If you have installed the driver and still can't get it to work, or it was working and now it is not, try uninstalling the driver, then reinstall it.
