MP3 Splitter & Joiner/ MP3 Audio Converter

When you record an audio book or some other audio source that is long, it may be too large to fit on a CD.  A CD will hold up to 650 to 700 megs.  Even in mp3 format, it can be too big to fit on a CD.

There is numerous Software programs out there that will split audio and convert the music, but here is the one that I use http://www.ezsoftmagic.com/index.htm (This is an external website, if the location changes, this link will become invalid. If it does, email me, and let me know. Thanks!)

Here is what you do

  • Convert the audio file to an mp3
  • Use the MP3 Splitter & Joiner to split the song so it will fit on a CD. (if you are going to convert them to another format besides MP3 after you split them, I would suggest making them smaller than the suggestion because the other formats use larger space)
  • If you want the file in MP3 format, burn each section to a CD (Then label the disks disk 1, disk 2, disk 3 etc.)
  • If you want it in another format, then use the MP3 Audio Converter to change it to the format that you want.
