SATA requirements

To use SATA, here is the requirements (Click the links below for pictures of the item)

Motherboard with SATA connections, or a PCI SATA card
SATA data cables
Power supply with SATA power connectors or a converter cable to turn a connector to a SATA power connector

If your system does not have SATA built in, you will have to use a PCI SATA card. If your power supply does not have a SATA power connector, then you will have to use a converter connector.

NOTE: you can have SATA and IDE drives in the same system.
