Power Supply Voltage selector

United States uses 115 voltage but overseas uses 230. You need to make sure it is selected on the correct setting. Incorrect setting can cause damage. Some power supplies have this selector and some do not. Generally, if the power supply has one, it will be located in the general location where the power cord goes. An example of the location is circled in the picture below.

The selector has two selections

If your system will not come on, do the following

  1. Unplug the power cord.

  2. Check the switch.

  3. If it is set to 230, switch it to 115

  4. If it is on 115, do the following

    1. Flip the switch to 230

    2. After you flip it to 230, flip it back to 115. This resets the switch

  5. Plug the power cord in and give it a try.
