Copy error message to notepad

If you get an error message on the screen and you need to send it to technical support, the message can be time consuming to write the entire error message down. There is a way to get it into Notepad or Wordpad. To do this, do the following

When the error message appears, make sure the error message box is selected
Press CTRL-C to copy the message
Open WordPad or Notepad
Press CTRL-V to paste the text into Wordpad or Notepad
Save the file
