Method One

1. Go to Control Panel (This link will open in a different window)

2. Double-click on System

3. The information you need is on the General tab

4. The blue box in Figure 1 shows what operating system is installed

5. The Red box in Figure 1 shows what service pack you have (It will say something like SP1, Service Pack 1, SP2 etc. If you do not see any of those then you do not have a service pack installed)

6. The Green box in Figure 1 shows the amount of memory installed.

7. Click OK

Method Two

1. Click Start

2. Right-click My Computer

3. Click on Properties

4. The information you need is on the General tab

5. The blue box in Figure 1 shows what operating system is installed

6. The Red box in Figure 1 shows what service pack you have (It will say something like SP1, Service Pack 1, SP2 etc. If you do not see any of those then you do not have a service pack installed)

7. The Green box in Figure 1 shows the amount of memory installed.

8. Click OK

Boot into the BIOS and the BIOS will show the amount of memory
