Move Personal Folders

These instructions came from SmartComputing magazine's August 2009 issue.

Windows XP

The current location for the personal folders is at c:\Documents and Settings\#### (substitute the profile name for ####), for example, if the profile name was Jesse, you would see C:\Documents and Settings\Jesse

Windows Vista and Windows 7

The current location for the personal folders is at c:\Users\#### (substitute the profile name for ####), for example, if the profile name was Jesse, you would see C:\Users\Jesse

If you want to move the folders to a different location, such as move it to the D drive under the folder called user, click the folder you want to move

My Documents
My Music (Windows Vista and Windows 7 only)
My Pictures (Windows Vista and Windows 7 only)
