Warning!!! When the person assisting you does connect to your system, they will be able to see what you have open. If you do not want the person to see it, you will need to close the window or he or she will see it.

You are also able to cancel the connection at anytime with or without their permission.

 

To request help, do the following

  1. Access Help and Support

  2. Click Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance

   
  1. Click Invite someone to help you

   
  1. Click Save invitation as a file (Advanced)

   
  1. Save Invitation window appears

   
  1. Enter the name

   
  1. Set the amount of time the invitation is good for (You don't want to set the time till you know the person will be able to connect with you. Another words, if the person is not going to connect with you till tomorrow, don't set it for an hour because it will only be available for the next hour)

   
  1. Click Continue

   
  1. Enter a password (DO NOT USE YOUR NETWORK, WINDOWS, OR EMAIL PASSWORD! Create a different password)

   
  1. Click Save Invitation

   
  1. Email the file to the person helping you (Be sure to provide the password to the person helping you) If you are sending it to me send it to support@upgradenrepair.com

  2. When the other person opens the invitation, you will get this screen. Click Yes

   
  1. Click Yes to give control to the person helping you

   
  1. You can take control away from the person accessing your system at anytime with or without his or her permission by clicking Stop Control (ESC)

   
  1. You can disconnect from the person helping you at anytime with or without their permission by clicking Disconnect
