Ginger Lee
Class of 75
Died Jul 17, 12
Passed away on July 17, 2012 after a
courageous battle with ALS. She is survived by her husband, Dr.
Angelo Valenti, her sons Dylan Burroughs, Matthew Valenti, and
Joseph Valenti, her mother Bobbie Kennedy, her father Robert Lee,
her sister Joni Mahan, and her grandchildren Olivia Valenti and Luke
Valenti. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister who
valued her family above all else. A Nashville native, Ginger earned
a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee
and a master’s degree in education from Tennessee State University.
She taught special needs children and kindergarten in the Metro
school system for many years. She was involved in civic and
charitable activities, including Monroe-Harding Children’s Home,
Belmont Mansion, and the Nashville Symphony Guild. Ginger had a
unique ability to make people smile and she brightened any room she
was in. She wasn’t the life of the party; she brought the party with
her. She will be missed.
