Configure Automatic Updates
There is two ways to configure Automatic Updates.
First Method
- Click Start
- Click on All Programs
- Click on Windows Updates
- Click on Pick a time to install updates
- Click on More Options

Put the dot in one of four options
- Automatic
- Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them.
- Notify me but don’t automatically download or install them.
- Turn off automatic updates.
Second Method (For systems with SP2)
- Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)
- Double-click Security Center
- Click on Automatic Updates
