What happens to the history of the websites I have visited in Internet Explorer
When you enter a website address in the address bar of Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer remembers the address and you can select it from history later to go back to that site. However, the address may disappear from history or the address from history does not work any longer when you go back to it.
There is two causes for this. (Click on the hyperlink for assistance with that step)
- Reasons for the address to disappear in history
- On Internet options, you can select how long to keep
addresses kept in history
- If you have selected to keep the history for 10 days and it has been 12 days since you have visited the site, the address will disappear from history.
- If you select delete history, that will erase history.

- The website the address goes to has been changed since you last visited it.
If you do not want to loose the address of a site you go to, be sure to save the address in your favorites.
