Setup network in Windows 2K
Click on the hyperlink for instructions for that step or on for a picture of that step.
- Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)
- Double-click on Network
- Double-click on the Local Area Connection (name of the connection may vary depending on how you set it up)
- Right click on the connection (If there is not a connection listed, then click on Make New Connection and follow the prompts.)
- Click on Properties
- Preferred method is to try Make New Connection. After you Double-click on Make New Connection, follow the prompts.
- If that doesn't work, right mouse click on the local area connection
- click on Properties
- Click on Install
- Highlight Client
- Click on Add
- Highlight Client for Microsoft Networks

Click on OK
- Now Client for Microsoft Networks is listed. When you installed Client, it sometimes installs TCP/IP automatically. You may see both Client for Microsoft Networks and TCP/IP or you may see just Client for Microsoft Networks.
- Highlight Services
- Click on Add
- Click on File and Print Sharing

Click on OK
- If TCP/IP is already installed, skip to step 23
- Click on Install
- Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Click on OK
- Now it should look like this

Click on OK
- Reboot the computer
