Run WMIC in Non-Interactive Mode

To run WMIC in non-interactive mode

  1. Go to command prompt (This link will open in a different window)
  2. Type WMIC (and the command, aliases, or global switches you want WMIC to perform)
  3. Press Enter
Notes
  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.
  • To Open the command prompt, click here for instructions
  • In non-interactive mode, WMIC returns you to the command prompt after executing the command.
  • For more information about the WMIC commands, type WMIC /? at the command prompt.
