How to turn Real-time Protection on or off

Sometimes a program will recommend that you turn your anti-virus program off to install a program. This really is not necessary task to perform. However if you are having issues installing a program or just want to turn off Essentials anyways, follow these steps.

Open Microsoft Essentials
Click Settings tab

Click Real-time protection

Uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended)

When you are done be sure to turn real time back on so you will be protected. Your system will be in danger till you do.
