Saving pictures
If you are on Facebook and see a picture that you want to download for your own copy, you can. Different areas require different methods to save the picture though.
Click the option you need help with

Save As method (used in messages)

Download method (used on the wall and photos)

Windows Snippet Tool (excellent program. It is part of Windows and it is free)
NOTE: Be sure not to infringe on copyright laws.
(From a computer. May not apply to cellphones)If you are talking to someone through messaging and he or she puts a photo in the message that you want a copy of it on your computer, you can get a copy of it.
To use the Right-Click method, do the following

Click on the photo that is in the message (The photo will open in a separate window)

Right-Click on the photo

Click Save image as...

Choose where you want to save the picture

Give it a name that you want it to have (You can either accept the default name or type in one)

Choose the type of file you want to save it as (jpg, gif and such)

Click Save
If the picture is on your wall or if it is in your photos on Facebook, you can use the download feature
To download, do the following

Click on the photo that is in the message (The photo will open in a separate window)

Click Options

Click Download (Your window may be different than this but it will have a download on the window, select it)

Choose where you want to save the picture

Give it a name that you want it to have (You can either accept the default name or type in one)

Choose the type of file you want to save it as (jpg, gif and such)

Click Save
