Deactivate Account
If you need to put your Facebook activity on hold, you can deactivate your account
Deactivating disables your profile and removes your name and photos from most things you've shared.
Some info might still be visible to others, like your name in someone else's friend list and messages you exchanged with friends.
After deactivating your account, you can reactivate it by logging back in.
To deactivate, do the following

Access Security (Click hyperlink for instructions)

Scroll to the bottom to Deactivate Your Account

Click Edit

Click Deactivate your account. and follow the prompts
