Browser Extensions

They give your Internet Explorer or other browser more capabilities. Some are safe while others are dangerous. Be careful of accepting extensions. They cannot be installed on their own. you will have to approve them, so be careful before you accept one.

When you are at a sight, the site will ask you if you want to install an add-on. Some are safe while others are dangerous. Unfortunately I cannot advice which to accept or not. you will need to use your judgement on this. If you did fall victim to a rogue add-in you will need to remove it.
