Video card
The video can either be onboard the motherboard or as a card. Today's systems use PCI video cards. Older systems use AGP. There may be some older systems still using AGP but the standard now is PCI.
Some motherboards have onboard video and some do not. If you have onboard video but want to install a PCI video card, you can on most motherboards.
To use a PCI video card with a motherboard that has onboard video, you will need to set the bios to recognize the video card.
