Roger “Lee” Burton, Jr. passed away December 24, 2017 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Lee was born September 13, 1965 in Goodlettsville, TN, son of Roger and Shirley (Gilbert) Burton. Lee graduated from Madison High School and went on to work in the banking industry. He was an incredibly kind and loving person who had a great love for people, and especially for his mama. He loved music and reading, and was known for being able to walk in to iHop or the Waffle House and walk out with 10 new friends. He was an amazing man who would help anyone, anytime and give the shirt off his back. Lee is survived by his loving mama, Shirley Burton; brother, Brian (Zebrina) Burton; very special uncle, Paul (Sunni) Gilbert; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends to celebrate Lee’s life on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) from 4-8pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10am, Pastor Robby Kirkham officiating.
