Need a leading zero in the number

help file is for Excel 2003. It may or may not work for older versions as well.

In order for the number to show a zero at the beginning of the number you have to set the cell or cells to either text or zip. To do this do the following

Right click the cell or cells
Click on Format Cells
Click on the Number tab
Either select Text, Zip Code, or Zip Code +4 under Special
Click on OK
