How to Setup Outlook to Receive AOL Mail

If you use America Online and want to use Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps to set up Outlook.

Open Outlook
Click on Tools
Click on E-mail Accounts
Put the dot in Add a new e-mail account
Click Next
Put the dot in IMAP
Click Next
Enter your name under Your Name
Enter your AOL email address
Put your logon information in.
For the Incoming mail server (IMAP), enter imap.aol.com
For the Outgoing mail server (SMTP), enter smtp.aol.com
Click More Settings
Click the Outgoing Server tab
Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Click the Advanced tab
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP): to 587
Click OK
Click Next
Click Finish
