Repair Microsoft Office
To run a repair do the following
- Put your Microsoft Office CD in the top drive
- Open an office product (Word, Excel, so forth)
- Click on Help
- Click on Detect and Repair
- Make sure Restore my shortcuts while repairing is checked
- Click on Start (it will probably ask you to close any office product. If it does, close the office product)
- Restart the computer
If the above doesn't fix the issue, follow these steps
- Put your Microsoft Office CD in the top drive
- Open an office product (Word, Excel, so forth)
- Click on Help
- Click on Detect and Repair
- Make sure Restore my shortcuts while repairing is checked
- Put a check in Discard my customized settings and restore default settings.
CAUTION This procedure is for Word, Excel and other office products but putting a check in Discard my customized settings and restore default settings will wipe out your settings in outlook. You will have to re-enter your email settings. You will also loose email and address book by running this feature. Make sure you have them backed up before running this step.
- Click on Start (it will probably ask you to close any office product. If it does, close the office product)
- Restart the computer
