Use Recycle Bin
Windows 10
To see the contents of the Recycle Bin, Double click the icon
To access Recycle Bin, click here
If the recycle bin has files in it, you will see a list of items you can recover
When you right-click, you get the following options
-
Open - opens Recycle Bin so you can see the contents (if there is any to see)
-
Empty Recycle Bin - If you want to delete the contents
-
Pin to Start - For easy access
-
Create a shortcut - to make it easier to access
-
Rename - You can rename the recycle bin
-
Properties - Allows you to set the size of the highlighted drive from 0 to max size available on each drive. You have two options
-
Custom size
-
Setting max to 0 will make it where nothing from that drive is saved in the recycle bin
-
Max size of highlighted drive listed to the right
-
-
Don't move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted
-
NOTE: Increasing the percentage will use more hard drive space. Decreasing the percentage will use less hard drive space but less items will be saved. If the space is filled, the recycle bin will throw out the oldest to make room for the newest entry.
