How to boot to safe mode with networking
Windows 2000 XP
Safe mode with networking allows only the files needed to boot into windows to run and allow internet or network access. This is useful when you have an issue and need to limit what runs but yet have access to the internet.
You can boot to Safe Mode manually or you can use a good utility.
Manually boot to Safe Mode with Networking
- If system is on, Turn it off.
- Then turn system back on

Press Function key F8 over and over again till you get the boot menu (As soon as you turn system on).
- Then highlight Safe mode with Networking

Press Enter.
You will see a bunch of lines on the screen

Choose Administrator.

Say Yes
Use Utility to boot to Safe mode with networking

Download the boot utility

Double-click Bootsafe.exe

Choose Safe mode - Minimal
-
Click Reboot
