There is numerous "share this and a company (such as Microsoft, Facebook, or other companies) will donate $1 for each share" scams on Facebook.
This is a scam to get shares. A scammer will find a picture of a sick child or animal and steal the picture. They will create a post with that picture. They will state a company (such as Facebook or another company) will donate a $1 to the cause for every share.
The company will not do this. If they did, they would be opening themselves up for bankruptcy. It is estimated that 2.7 billion people use Facebook. If this was true, it could seriously hurt the company. If everyone shared it, the company would have to pay $2.7 Billion to the charity or organization. I am sure they donate but they know how much and how they are going to donate.
By sharing, you are not helping the child or animal. They will not see a red cent of it. However the scammer will make money off of it if the post is shared enough.
