Everything becomes public

Facebook scam

The following post is being shared and has been going on for years.

Don’t forget tomorrow starts the new Facebook rule where they can use your photos. Don't forget Deadline today!!! It can be used in court cases in litigation against you. Everything you've ever posted becomes public from today Even messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. Channel 13 News talked about the change in Facebook's privacy policy. I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308- 1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute. NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tacitly allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore,
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste. This doesn't have a date.

There is also another post similar to this going around

Just in case Notice:..An attorney advised us to post this. The violation of privacy can be punished by law. NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you do not publish a statement at least once, it will be tacitly understood that you are allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in your profile status updates. I HEREBY STATE THAT I DO NOT GIVE MY PERMISSION.
Copy and re-post.

This is a post setup to overload Facebook with useless information, or the originator of the post, started this post to either bog down Facebook or to get shares and likes (they make money of things like that. I don't understand how it works but they do) The innocent Facebook user, sees the post and then either likes or shares the post trying to be safe. Before you know it, it has been shared numerous times.

If a Facebook user has 100 people on his/her friends list and shares it, those 100 will eventually see it. If each member that sees it, shares it, then the friends on their list shares it, imagine the number of times it will be seen (especially by the same person)

If someone has access to your photos or content that you have put on Facebook, then they have access to your photos or content. Because the content that is being posted is public, people can take your photos or content. It may not be ethical but is not illegal.

If you do not want the public to have access to your photos or content, you have to limit access to your content or photos to specific people. Once you do that, the only ones that has the capability of seeing or copying your content is those you allowed.

Those that are not allowed will see the following

or some similar image

In order to limit the audience, you will need to go to Facebook privacy to change your settings.

Another method to overload Facebook is to get a post shared via messenger by wanting the receiver of the message to share it with 10 or more of their friends. Click here for information.
