AGP slot

This allows you to connect a video card to the system. The system only has one AGP slot. This slot is faster than a the older PCI slots. The computer industry has gone back to the PCI for the video but this version is older than the older PCI and is faster than AGP. The slot comes in 2x, 4x and now 8x. The color of the slot is dark gray or black.

If the motherboard has onboard video, there might not be an AGP slot.

You need to turn the system off, disconnect all cables and discharge power before installing or removing a card from the system. Go to Safety page for instructions on safety.
