Use these steps

Try running Excel in safe mode
1. If it works in safe mode
  1. The issue is with Excel
    1. Try running a repair
    2. Uninstall and reinstall Excel
2. If it still will not work in safe mode
  1. The issue is from something besides Excel
    1. Use software troubleshooter
