System File Checker (SFC)
Scans integrity of all protected system files and repairs files with problems when possible.
To access do the following

Access Command prompt with Administrator Rights (Click link for instructions)

Type SFC /scannow
 |
If the SFC does not finish due to errors, you may need to run DSM first and even ChKDSK /r /f command and then run the SFC command again.
