Remove sound

Windows XP

Click on the hyperlink for instructions for that step.

Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)
Double-click on Add/Remove Programs
Highlight your sound card
Click on Change/Remove. (Your sound care may or may not be listed here)
Go to Device Manager (This will open in a different window)
Make sure the sound card is not listed here. If it is delete it.

Note: Make sure you have your driver disk so you can reinstall
