Remove Audio Codecs

Click on the hyperlink for instructions for that step.

Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)
Double-click on Sounds and Multimedia
Click on Hardware
Audio Codecs may be listed. If it is not listed here then it will be listed under Sound, Game and Video in Device Manager (This will open in a different window)
Highlight the first item then click on Remove. (it may ask you to reboot. Say no to reboot) Do this until all items are removed (some may not remove and that is ok)
Reboot the computer
