If you want to add an older hard drive into your new system, you may or may not be able to add it. Here is information on this

Some systems have only one connector for a hard drive. Does yours have a spot to connect the second drive to?
If the hard drive is a PATA or an IDE drive, does the system you want to add the drive to have connections for a PATA or IDE drive? For information on hard drive identifications, click here.

If you verified the above meets the specifications of the drive you have, then you can connect the drive as a secondary drive.
