Buddy List

Choose the option you need help with.

• Backing up the buddy list
• Restoring the buddy list

Here is the instructions to back up your buddy list

1. Open AIM
2. Click on My AIM
3. Click on Save Buddy List...
4. Choose what items you want saved.
5. Click on Save
6. Choose the location you want it saved
7. Give the file a name
8. Click on Save

NOTE: If you are saving the file to the hard drive, create a folder under My Documents and give the folder a unique name that will identify it as the folder with the buddy list. Then save the file to that folder. The advantage of this is that when you do a backup to backup your files, you can save the "My Documents folder" and that folder that you saved your buddy list will automatically be backed up also. This will speed up your backups.

Here is the instructions to restore your buddy list.

1. Open AIM
2. Click on My AIM
3. Click on Load Buddy List...
4. Open the location that you saved the buddy list at
5. Choose the file you want
6. Click on Open
