Scan a Document or Photo 

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

To scan a document, do the following

  1. Access HP Printer Assistant

  2. Click Scan a Document or Photo

   

  1. Choose one of the following

   

  1. Save as PDF

  2. Save as JPEG

  3. E-mail as PDF

  4. E-mail as JPEG

  5. Save as Editable Text (OCR)

  6. Everyday Scan

  1. On the right is settings (May be different depending on which one you chose above)

   

  1. Choose where you want to scan from

    1. Flatbed Glass

   

  1. Automatic Document Feeder

   

  1. Click Advanced Settings

   

  1. Click Destination

   

  1. Give the file a name

   

  1. Choose the location you want to save the scan to

   

  1. Click OK
