Scan From Printer 

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

 

To Scan from the printer (not from the computer), do the following

  1. Push the right or left arrow till you see Scan

   

  1. Press Scan

   

  1. Choose

    1. Computer

   

  1. Memory Device

   

  1. Network folder

   

 

 

NOTE: for this instruction, we are going to use Computer and Save as PDF

  1. Choose Main (This will be different name on your system. Also you have to have scan to computer enabled). Click here for how to enable scan to computer.

  2. Choose the option you want

    1. Save as PDF

    2. Save as JPG

    3. Email as PDF

    4. Email as JPEG

    5. Save as Editable Text (OCR)

    6. Every Day Scan

  3. Press Start Scan

   

  1. Do you have another item to scan?

    1. Yes

    2. No

  2. If Yes, insert next item to scan

    1. Click Start Scan

  3. If No, the folder that the scan was saved to will open on the computer
