Known Issues for Exchange 2003 SP1

• Administration
  • Exchange View Only Administrators require the right to create objects in the global namespace
  • Event 9665: Update to recommended memory settings for running Exchange Server 2003 SP1 on Windows Server 2003
• Clients
  • XML attachments are blocked in Outlook Web Access
  • MIME Encapsulation of Aggregate HTML Documents (MHTML) attachments display differently in Outlook Web Access
  • Privacy issues are caused when you use Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) addresses for mailbox addressing in Outlook Web Access.
• Mobility
  • Exchange ActiveSync requires Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4 (SP4) or later
  • Mobile users receive sync key errors if load-balanced front-end servers are running RTM and SP1 versions
• Tools
  • Exchange Domain Rename Fix-up Tool (XDR-Fixup.exe) does not update the search filter attribute on recipient policies, address lists, or query-based distribution groups
