Limit to number of recipients

Your able to send mail, but when you try to send the mail to numerous contacts at one time, the mail will not send or it gets returned to you.

Some internet providers limit how many people you can send an email to at one time. The purpose of this is that they are trying to prevent people from getting spammed. Unfortunately it prevents legitimate email from being sent as well.

If you need to send mail to numerous people, here is a couple options that you have

  • Instead of sending one email with all the addresses, divide the addresses to two or more emails
  • Try using a distribution list to send to
  • Try putting the email addresses in the BCC field instead
  • Contact your ISP and see if they can lift the limit
