Ripping CDs is where you convert songs to MP3 from a CD

Follow these instructions to rip music

Click on the hyperlink for instructions for that step or on for a picture of that step.

1. Open MusicMatch
2. Click on Rip From CD
3. If you have more than one CD-ROM, put the check in the drive that has the music CD in it.
4. If the music is playing, stop the music.
5. The Recorder will show the songs that are selected.
6. If you need to change the name of the song, click on it till it highlights and you can change the name.
7. If you want the song converted make sure there is a check next to it. If you don't want it remove the check.
8. Click on Options
9. Set Recording Format to MP3
10. Put the dot in CD quality (128 kbps)
11. Click on the Tracks Directory
12. Choose the directory to rip the music to. For assistance on moving around directories, click here.
13. Click on OK
14. Click on the red recording button.
15. It will burn the music to that directory.
16. If you want to burn the MP3s to a CD, be sure to burn it as data CD and not a music CD.
