How to integrate IE7 or IE8

Download the IE7 installer by going to Microsoft and insert it into the nLite Hotfixes page. nLite will not integrate IE8. You will have to run that after the install.

You can put it in the $OEM$ section and put the command in RunOnce in unattended to run the install of IE8.

To get Internet Explorer 8 to install silently use the following command.

IE8-WINDOWSXP-X86-ENU.EXE /QUIET /UPDATE-NO /FORCERESTART

Note: the file you download for IE8 may have a different file name than what I have listed here. If that is the case, just substitute that file name in place of the IE8-WINDOWSXP-X86-ENU.EXE. Just make sure the /QUIET-NO /FORCERESTART is to the right of it.

The system will restart after the install so if you have other programs to install, have them run before this one.
