Age 74 of Madison. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Civitan Club, Boy Scout Leader, Eagle Scout, Civil Defense, VFW (Lifetime Member), American Legion (Lifetime Member), First Responders, and Inglewood-Madison Fire and Police. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Jackie Hargis; and first wife, Patsy of 42 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Gayle Hargis; sons, Jeffrey (Dana) Hargis, John "Kip" (Andrea) Hargis and Joey (Amanda) Hargis; sister, Sue (Johnny) Jones; 13 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be John Rice, Ronnie Smith, Morris Pate, Neil Hargis, Keith Hargis, Joey Mount, Stephen Duchach and Jeffrey Mount. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Allen, Doug Hardcastle, Michael Pardue, and his co-workers at Hardcastle Construction, and Nashville Metro Codes Department. The family would like to express a special thanks to the fourth floor nurses at Skyline and to the nurses at Alive Hospice Madison Campus.
