Benita Jane Bullion, age 69 of Joelton, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.
She was born on December 1, 1947, in Madison, Tennessee. Benita taught at DuPont Elementary for 31 years and enjoyed teaching 3rd grade the most. She loved gardening, movies, plays and traveling; she visited Europe several times and fell in love with Germany, as well as other international travel. Benita spent 8 meaningful years enjoying Bible Study Fellowship International. Her greatest love was being a fill-in mother to her two nieces whom she adored, and aunt to her great-nephews. Benita will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eunice Ovan (E.O.) Bullion
She is survived by her mother, Monetta Bullion; brother, Don Bullion (Kathy); nieces, Denicia Roberts (Todd), and Christina Johnson (Glenn); great-nephews, Corey Wills (Courtney), Steven Wills, T.J. Roberts (Kellie), and Dillon Johnson; great-great- nephew, Jude Canton Wills; dear sisters of the heart and their families, Martha Sanford, Lorenda Stone (Bob Ashayeri), and "niece" Loren, and numerous extended family members.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home.
Inurnment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm with Elder Clint Parnell of Rivergate Church of Christ officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Benita to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, donate.lls.org, or to the Alzheimer's Association , www.alz.org. Click here for her obit
