Tommy Cooper, age 66, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away at Skyline Madison Campus, Alive Hospice on Thursday, November 7, 2013.

A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 5PM at Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 226 South Main St., Goodlettsville, TN 37072 with Paul Hancock officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5PM prior to the service.

He was born in Nashville, TN on August 20, 1947 to the late Alton Thomas Cooper, Sr. and Lucy Douglas Cooper. He graduated from Madison High School in 1966 and attended Austin Peay College. He worked many years as a manager for Cooper & Martin, Malone & Hyde and Giant Foods. He owned and operated Cooper Lawn Service & Landscaping for many years and also worked as a salesman for Trickett Honda for over 20 years. He loved people and was a master at networking. He was a member of Inglewood/Madison Jaycees, the Kiawanis Club and the Nashville Gun Club. He loved James Bond and Sherlock Holmes movies, enjoyed going to the gun range to shoot his guns, loved skeet shooting and had a passion for riding his motorcycle. But most of all he loved his Lord, studying the Bible, his family, his friends and had a passion for life. He loved to laugh and was a man of tremendous wit.

He is survived by his loved and cherished wife of 33 years, Patricia "Pat" Brewer Cooper, Goodlettsville, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Joey & Honilla Qualls, Thousand Oaks, California; 3 grandchildren, Cooper & Peyton Qualls & Megan Merhar; step-mother, Eleanor Cooper Lemons, Donelson, TN; loved and cherished, Aunt Fannie Bell Goodwin & Aunt Bobbie (Ralston) Overstreet and a huge group of friends.

The family requests instead of the usual remembrances, donations are made "In Memory of Tommy Cooper", to the Community Foundation of Middle TN for the benefit of Military Personnel & Veterans or Alive Hospice, C/O Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Highway 41 S, Greenbrier, TN 37073.
