Donna Pilkinton Sherrell, age 59, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014. Donna was born March 10, 1955 and preceded in death by her mother, Helen Bennett Pilkinton. She was a graduate of the class of 1973. She passed away on July 27, 2014 at the age of 59. She fought a valiant, but short battle with cancer. At the time of her death she was living in Hendersonville and was a 20+ year employee with the State of Tennessee (THDA).

She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, John Sherrell, two daughters, Jennifer Tate and Jamie Sherrell and one granddaughter, Jordan Tate, father, Roy Pilkinton; sister, Diane Pilkinton-Pihko; step-mother, Marjorie Pilkinton; step-sister, Brenda Ferguson, step brother, Michael "Bear" Coble; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 12 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Edward Swafford, Steve Roberts, Grant Padgett, James Absher, David Snider, Jim Carlson, and John Bass. Honorary is Robert Pilkinton, MD.
