Ken Ledbetter

 Class of 83

Died: Jun 10, 13

LEDBETTER, Kenneth Charles, March 6, 1964 - June 10, 2013. Ken departed this world suddenly, which wasn't much differently in how he lived his life. To say Ken was a free spirit would be an understatement if not an insult…he truly marched to the beat of his own drum. He will be remembered for his ability to tell a joke and make you laugh no matter how bad the joke, his California laid back style, his eccentric ingenuity used in everything he touched, his love for music, his daredevil dreams, his zest for life and his genuine desire to live life to its fullest, but most of all, his unconditional love for his children, family, friends and a having a good time. To know Ken was to love Ken. Ken was a son, brother, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his father Charles C. Ledbetter, brother Stacey Ledbetter (Ginger), sister Melissa Kepley, children Kayleigh Holbrooks, Blaise Ledbetter, grand-daughters Maggie Rhae Cook, Diana Holbrooks and a host of nieces and nephews, along with more friends than you can shake a stick at. He was preceded in death my mother, Faye Ledbetter, grandparents Cecil and Pauline Buttrey and Ruby and Joseph Ledbetter and brother-in-law, Kenny Kepley. In lieu flowers, Ken's wish is for everyone to march to the beat of their own drum, play kickball no matter what your age, be brave enough to skydive, bake brownies at midnight, go to the beach at the last minute, learn to surf, have a party just because, always have a dream no matter how silly, talk about old times, make new memories, be kind, hug your kids and tell them you love them every day and never lose sight of who you are and what "you" want to do. In the infamous words of Ken…Is there anything you're not willing to try, "I'm a frayed knot!" A celebration of Ken's life will take place Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church, 117 Marlin Road, White House, TN 37188. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. His memorial service will follow. Food and fellowship will take place at 553 North Palmers Chapel, White House, TN 37188.
