You have the following items that you can clear to clear up space

  • Downloaded Program Files

  • Temporary Internet Files

  • System created Windows error Reporting

  • directX Shader Cache

  • Delivery Optimization files

  • Recycle Bin

  • Temporary files

  • Thumbnails

**Use caution on choosing what to clear. These files are gone once you delete them. For example, the files in the Recycle Bin is there in case you accidentally deleted a file and you realize it later. If you haven't emptied the Recycle Bin, you can restore the file but if you have emptied it, you will not be able to. The Recycle Bin can acquire many file and can slow the system down in time. Just be sure you do not need the files for the Recycle Bin or other options before doing it. Unfortunately, no one can say if you need it or not. It is a personal decision. Chances are you probably don't but cannot say definitely.**

 

To clear the files do the following

  1. Put a check in the checkboxes that you want to clear.

   
  1. If you want to see the contents of that option, click View Files

   
  1. When done, click OK
