Share a folder on the network

If you want to share a folder on the network that is part of a profile (click here for information on what a profile is), you have to share the folder while you are signed on to the profile and not share it when you are on another profile.

If you are signed on to John's profile and share John's folder and Mary's folders, You will be able to access John's folder from another computer but you won't be able to open Mary's folder from another computer. It will give you an error message.

If you are signed into Mary's profile when you shared Mary's folder, you will be able to open Mary's folder from another computer. You do not have to stay signed on to Mary's profile to access it from another computer. You just have to be signed on Mary's profile when you initially share it. Once it is shared, you don't have to leave the computer signed into Mary's account. The only requirement to access Mary's files or folders is that the computer has to be turned on.

If you want John's folders and Mary's folders to be accessible from another computer, sign on to John's account, share his folder, then sign on to Mary's account and then share her folders.
