Copying files to an external drive
Advantages
The drive can be large enough to copy the files to the drive. You see the files that you have saved so you know which files were saved. The files are always accessible. The drive is portable. You can take the information with you. The drive will only be in danger of being infected by spyware or a virus when it is connected. You can disconnect it when not in use.
Disadvantages
Since you are manually selecting the files, you can overlook a file. This can also be time consuming.
