Outlook is offline
If you are unable to get mail, there is a possibility that outlook is offline. If Outlook is offliine, it will say Offline on the bottom right of Outlook as the picture below indicates. (You will see the offline icon on the bottom right corner of Outlook and by the clock as indicated by the red box)

When you click file, you will see that offline is checked as you
see in the picture below.

To fix the issue, do the following
- Click File
- Uncheck Work Offline so it looks like the picture below
