Can't receive email 

If you are having issues with your mail, Choose the option that fits your situation

 

Exchange Server

  1. Make sure your not working offline
  2. If outlook is offline you will see it say offline on the bottom right of your Outlook, see Picture A below
  3. Click on the Offline, and uncheck Work Offline, see Picture B below
  4. Turn off Cached Exchange Mode
  5. Rename the Outlook.pst file
  6. Re-enable Cached Exchange Mode
  7. Create another personal folder
  8. Create another Inbox under the new personal folder
  9. Drag the email from the old Inbox to new Inbox *See Notes below

                               

Pop3 Account

  1. Rename the Outlook.pst file
  2. Create another personal folder
  3. Create another Inbox under the new personal folder
  4. Drag the email from the old Inbox to new Inbox *See Notes below
  5. Outlook cannot receive Email - Cannot receive but can send email in Outlook

NOTE: The problem that there is an email that is corrupted and prevents the mail from coming into the mailbox. As you drag the email to the new Inbox, if an email is corrupted, it should show an error message. If you do come across an email that is corrupted, you will need to delete it.
